ACADIA UNIVERSITY Open House

It’s hard to believe that we are already in our second week of October and that we are getting ready for our Annual Open House, which is set to take place next Friday, October 19 at 8:30 a.m. in Wolfville.
We ask that you please encourage your students who may be interested in studying at Acadia University to attend the event so that they can truly get a feel for what they may experience in less than a year! Students and their parents will have the opportunity to meet new professors for academic advice, get a tour of our beautiful campus, enjoy a complimentary lunch, and get on-the-spot admission if they bring their transcript.
If you have any students who do wish to attend the Open House, please tell them to register online at studentevents.acadiau.ca or call us 1-877-585-1121.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly at 902-585-1828 or via e-mail at sarah.casey@acadiau.ca .

CRANDALL UNIVERSITY Open House

Good Afternoon!

I am pleased to announce that we are gearing up for our first Open House of the school year. Our Admissions team, along with a great group of Crandall students, faculty and staff is preparing this Open House for any students who may be considering a higher education at Crandall University.
Similar to our Winter event, we will highlight the excellent academic programs, world class faculty, expanded programs and campus of one of Canada’s leading private, not-for-profit universities, a university that, we’re proud to say, is located right here in Atlantic Canada! There will be a discussion time for parents, a student panel to answer questions, displays from various faculties, student led tours of our expanded campus, and refreshments.
Once again this event will be hosted in the Atrium of, one of the most environmentally friendly and beautiful buildings in Atlantic Canada, Stultz Hall, on the afternoon of Saturday, November 17th, from 1:00-3:30 in the afternoon. For more information please call us at 858-8970 (toll free 1-888-968-6228), email us at admissions@crandallu.ca or visit our website at www.crandallu.ca Thanks so much for your partnership and we look forward to meeting with you.

PORTFOLIOS

Start watching for afterschool PORTFOLIO HELP sessions next week...listen for morning announcements, or just ask me on a day you know you can stay, and I will plan on staying for you. I have lots of scrapbook paper/ embellishments, but check out the dollar store as well for more personalized themes.

Don't have a binder yet? Just a plain binder will do now (see Ms. Cogswell)...but look at Staples for one that has a front pocket to put your handsome picture!

GRAD BAKE SALE OCT. 20th 1pm

Details will be coming, but plan on Saturday, October 20th.
Ask friends, neighbours, relatives,  teachers, whoever you can think of to help you out.
Baking should be picked up by you Saturday morning no later than 10 am, or your friend can drop them off.
If someone feels they can not bake for you at this time, ask them if they would like to donate a cake mix and icing, and you could make cupcakes to sell! OR, maybe they would like to just donate cash this time for the cause, and maybe bake for you in the Spring bake sale.
Good luck!
Try and be available to set up and sell that day as well... not sure of a start time yet, but will let you know. (usually 1pm). Sometimes there is leftover food, and grads can be prepared to sell at local stores as a "trunk sale".
See you there!
